Do you need to Recertify
You must renew your certification every three years.  You can renew your certification by retaking the CWNA Exam or by advancing on to the next level (CWSP), and then to CWNE which is a lifetime Certification.

Cisco CCNA Wireless
IUWNE Exam  640-721 for CCNA Wireless validates associate-level knowledge and the skills to configure, implement and support of wireless LANs, specifically those networks using Cisco equipment.
Wireless network deployment has exploded in recent years. The use of wireless devices went quickly from early adoption in sites where cabling was difficult or impossible, to widespread use in home networks. The change was rapid due to the ease of use of wireless routers and other equipment. With this  Wireless certification, network professionals can support a basic wireless network on a Cisco WLAN in a SMB to enterprise network.
Consists of the following Courses

  • ICND1 for CCENT Certication
  • ICND2 for the CCNA Certification
  • IUWNE for teh CCNA Wireless

CCNA Wireless certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:

  • Pass any current CCNA Specialty exam (wireless, or security, or voice, or SP Ops), or CCDA DESGN
  • Pass any Cisco Professional or Expert Certification Exams

Cisco CCNP Wireless
CCNP Wireless certification addresses the need for designing, implementing, and operating Cisco Wireless networks and mobility infrastructures. CCNP Wireless certification emphasizes wireless networking principles and theory. It also recognizes the expertise and technical acumen of wireless professionals who can assess and translate network business requirements into technical specifications that in turn, are incorporated into successful installations.   • 642-732 CUWSS Conducting Cisco Unified Wireless Site Survey (CUWSS) v2.0
  • 642-742 IUWVN Implementing Cisco Unified Wireless Voice Networks (IUWVN) v2.0
  • 642-747 IUWMS Implementing Cisco Unified Wireless Mobility Services (IUWMS) v2.0
  • 642-737 IAUWS Implementing Advanced Cisco Unified Wireless Security (IAUWS) v2.0 

Cisco professional level certifications (CCDP, CCNP, CCSP, CCIP, CCVP, CCNP SP Operations, CCNP Wireless) are valid for three years.
To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:

  •     Pass any current 642-XXX Professional level exam, or
  •     Pass any current CCIE Written Exam,  or
  •     Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
  •     Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to       extend lower certifications.
    Achieving or recertifying any of the certifications above automatically extends your active Associate and Professional level certification(s) up to the point of expiration of the last certification achieved. For more information, access the Cisco About Recertification page.
